Remodelled jungle view one-bedroom in Building D of Utopia Nai Harn, 4th floor — the quite side, with the hills over the balcony rail. Two lockable rooms with screened doors to the balcony, marble induction kitchen, 65" TV with sound system, second TV in the bedroom, king bed plus a pullout sofa bed — sleeps 4, and your small pet is welcome. Dedicated 500–600 Mbps internet, desk and chair. Four pools including the rooftop infinity with a sunset bar, gym, spa, two restaurants. 24h self check-in.
D407 is on the 4th floor, the brighter of our two Utopia units: hills and sky over the balcony, afternoon light in the living room.
We bought in Building D because it's one of the two white blocks — C and D, the newest and best-finished in Utopia — and because it's the side that faces the jungle. Other blocks look at each other, at the road or construction site; this side looks at nothing man-made at all. Then we remodelled it the way we'd want to live in it.
WHAT YOU GET
Two rooms, both lockable. A bedroom with a huge king bed (220 cm x 200 cm), hotel linen, blackout curtains and its own TV; a living room with a proper pull-out sofa that sleeps two more. Sliding glass doors to the balcony from both rooms, with mosquito screens — you can leave them open and hear the jungle at night without hosting it.
The view. Jungle, from both rooms. Not a garden, not a courtyard — the hill behind Utopia, untouched. Guests say "dead quiet" and "living inside a postcard", which is roughly our experience too. If you want to see people from your balcony, this isn't the apartment.
Kitchen. Fully remodelled: marble counters, induction hob, full-size fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, French press, a powerful blender and our handwritten smoothie recipes on the fridge. Enough cookware, plates and cutlery to cook for four.
Living. 65" smart TV with a sound system — streaming apps, HDMI for your laptop. New lighting throughout: task light at the desk, warm light in the evenings. Safe, iron, hairdryer, fresh towels per guest.
Work. Full-size desk with an ergonomic office chair. We run our own dedicated 500Mbs internet line into the apartment — not the building wifi — so it holds a video call at 9am European time. Second monitor and UPS free on request, 2 days ahead.
Free on request: snorkel gear, yoga mats, beach chairs, beach umbrella.

GETTING HERE Utopia Nai Harn is a well-known complex — most drivers know it, and it's on every navigation app as "Utopia Naiharn". Address: 3/133 Moo 1, Rawai. Ask for Utopia Nai Harn, Building D.

Grab or InDrive from the airport: drop the pin, fixed price, nothing to explain. Download the app before you travel. The airport taxi stand is about 1,000 THB to Nai Harn.
From Phuket airport allow roughly an hour by car.
FINDING BUILDING D Utopia has several buildings. Ours is easy: come through the main gate — security is 24h — and look for the two white blocks, C and D. They're the newest and they stand out from the rest. Between them is their own reception; if in doubt, ask there and they'll walk you to the door. D is right of that reception.
CHECK-IN Take the lift to 4th floor , unit D407. The lockbox is at the door. Code will be provided after the bookiing. Inside: 2 keys and building access cards. Keep one on you; leave the spare in the lockbox as a backup in case you lock yourself out.
Check-in from 15:00. Arriving earlier? Message us — if the apartment is ready we'll open it up; if not, leave your bags and head to the pool.
If you want luxury, Nai Harn Beach offers five-star hotels like Sunsuri, Chivitr, or Nai Harn Hotel (starting ~700 USD/day). A new luxury hotel is being built at Nai Harn so more options soon!
Another choice is luxury condos like Utopia, At The Tree, or villas like Baan Bua Baan Bua villas start at 1000 USD/day). Utopia / AtTheTree offer nicer rooms designed for work and wellness at 150-350 USD/day)
More affordable options include Relife Complex or Chardonnay studios (100 USD/day). Cheaper condos (Title, NBC, Rawai Beach Condo) exist but may have downsides like noise, thin walls, lack of parking, and unsafe environment.
Nai Harn Beach is the cleanest, calmest beach in southern Phuket with crystal-clear water (27–29°C) and legendary sunsets from 17:30–19:00 . Perfect for paddling, surfing, snorkeling, and relaxing lake walks. Local conveniences include 7/11 stores, massage salons, cafes, and easy bike/car rentals .
Enjoy magical sunsets filled with drum music and meditation vibes on Sundays . Night beach runs offer a peaceful, meditative workout .
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Check-in from 15:00, checkout by 11:00 — we'll extend either way if nobody is arriving behind you. Electricity and water by meter at building rates, settled after checkout (about 2000-3000thb/month). Max 4 guests. No smoking inside, the balcony is fine. No pets (complex rules). No parties. Passport copy required by Thai law.
Getting around: Utopia is up the hill, a few minutes from the beach by scooter and 15-20 minutes on foot. Most guests rent a scooter on day one. We'll point you to the rental we've used for years — French-run, well-kept bikes, fair rates, and the deposit actually comes back.
WHY WE CHOSE NAI HARN AND NEVER LEFT
Utopia sits on the hill between Nai Harn and Rawai — greener and quieter than either, with both a short scooter ride away.
NAI HARN BEACH — 5 min by scooter, 15-20 on foot The cleanest bay on the island, and one that still has patches of living coral around the rocks at both ends. Kata, Karon, Patong, Bang Tao: the coral there is mostly gone. Bring a mask, or rent a kayak on the sand. No tuk-tuk crowd working the beach. Sunsets 17:30-19:00; Sundays there's usually drum music at the far end. Water 27-29°C most of the year.
RAWAI — 5 min by scooter Seafood market, the boardwalk, long-tail boats to the islands. The evening food scene is better here than in Nai Harn.
NAI HARN LAKE — 10 min on foot A flat loop that locals run and cycle every evening. A trail up to Black Rock viewpoint starts from the lake — steep in places, and the view over the whole bay from the top is one of the best on this side of the island. Our list has the sunset timing.
EATING A handful of places within a 10-minute walk; dozens within 5 minutes by scooter in either direction. We've eaten our way through most of them — the list tells you which are worth it — and what to order.
WORTH THE RIDE Ya Nui Beach and Promthep Cape for sunset, Chalong Pier for day trips to Phi Phi, Racha and Coral Island. Kata and Karon a short ride north when you want a busier day.
TRAFFIC Almost none. The south end of the island sits at the end of the road, so the jams that define Kata, Karon, Patong and Bang Tao never reach here.
