Positive: Loved the personal touches and the wrapped gifts inside! Very cosy lodge, clean and tidy. It's a shame the weather wasn't on our side but we would love to revisit in the Summer so we could see more of the surroundings :) had everything you could need inside the lodge and looked well cared for! Lots of room in the kitchen/sitting area. Beds were super comfy!

Negative: It's a shame the access information wasn't readily available. I turned up in the dark with a baby in tow and we were unable to get through the red barrier on arrival due to not having the fob. Turns out you need to park up and walk to the lodge to get the fob in order to get your car close. It's also tricky to locate the lodge upon arrival as the exact location doesn't populate on maps. (It probably didn't help that it was pitch black when we got there!). I know the owner can't help with the access/fob issue but would have been handy to know in advance as reception was closed. It also makes it difficult if using multiple cars etc and only one fob. The decking also gets super slippery in the colder/wet weather! It was a big hazard for us, especially carrying a baby etc. not sure if this can be gritted? Only other problem we faced was trying to set up travel cot as not much space in the bedrooms (plenty in the living area but we had our dog with us so unable to leave our baby to sleep in the same room)!
