Set on the hillside overlooking the Mole Valley is Widehay Barn, a bright & spacious holiday home, converted from a former field barn offering three en-suite bedrooms. Surrounding the barn is an acre of enclosed lawned garden giving plenty of space for children to play whilst the grown-ups relax & enjoy the outstanding and uninterrupted views to Exmoor and beyond. The attractive market town of South Molton is approx 4.5 miles away and wonderful North Devon beaches are under an hour's drive away.
The space
The living and kitchen/dining area is open plan, ideal for cooking and socialising together. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a family bathroom with luxurious claw foot tub. On the first floor are two further bedrooms; the large master with a 5ft double bed and a pretty twin bedded room, each with their own en-suite shower room.
Guest access
Guests will have exclusive use of the barn and garden. There is also a paddock to the north with access through a five bar gate from the garden. Guests may use this field if there are no animals grazing there.
If you are bringing your dog with you, please ensure it does not enter any fields where there are animals grazing.
Other things to note
Mariansleigh is a small rural hamlet, with narrow lanes that have little traffic on them. There are many footpaths that are well waymarked and make good country walking. It is very dark at night.
There is a pretty church and churchyard that are worth exploring.
The attractive market town of South Molton, known as the Gateway to Exmoor is approx 4 and a half miles away offering a range of shops and a twice weekly market selling locally produced food and goods. The wonderful beaches on the North Devon coast are just under an hour's drive away.
