Positive: I’d also like to highlight some of the things I really appreciated during my stay. The short-haired lady at the reception was incredibly kind and polite. At one point, my little cousin suddenly wanted to draw and came up with the idea of asking for some reused paper to draw on. I was a little worried that we might be bothering the staff, but she was so warm and lovely with the child. She greeted us with a genuine smile and was more than happy to help, which I really appreciated. The beds were super comfortable, and I had a very good night’s sleep. The curtains in the room also did a great job of blocking out the light, which was a big plus for me. The property was very clean and clearly well maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay, and I really appreciated the warm hospitality from the reception staff. My mom, in particular, absolutely loved the place. She even said that if we come back to Hua Hin again, she would definitely want to stay here again — which I think says a lot about how comfortable and enjoyable our stay was.
Negative: I’m sorry to say that the service at this Moo Krata restaurant was quite disappointing. The staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming, even though the restaurant was not very busy at the time. There was very little warmth or friendliness from the staff throughout the visit, which made the overall experience feel rather uncomfortable. The food itself was good and definitely worth the price. However, the service did not feel like it justified the service charge. The staff mostly just took our order, served the food, and brought the bill, with very little interaction or attentiveness. Even when water was brought to the table, it was simply left there without being poured or offered to us. Whenever we had a question, they were often unable to provide a clear answer, even when we asked in Native Thai. What I found particularly disappointing was the lack of understanding and knowledge when it came to providing basic information. For example, I asked whether there would be an additional fee for paying by credit card. The staff responded along the lines of, “There has to be a charge,” when in fact there was no additional credit card fee. This was not simply a language issue, as the question was asked in Thai. It gave the impression that the staff did not fully understand the question and provided incorrect information with confidence. I’m not expecting luxury-level service from a Moo Krata restaurant. However, when a service charge is added to the bill, I would at least expect the service to reflect that charge — particularly in terms of attitude, attentiveness, and the ability to provide customers with accurate information. Overall, the food was good, but the service still has a lot of room for improvement. Good food can only go so far when the service feels unwelcoming and does not live up to the service charge.
