Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Newly opened accommodation in Nong Khiaw. Location is a little quieter than down by the bridge where you have more noise from cockerels early in the morning, though you are 10 minutes walk further away from the centre of things, though nothing is very far away. The room was very clean, the cleanest we have stayed in in Laos so far, as was the bathroom.

Negative: The bathroom layout was very strange with the toilet being nearly a foot from the wall. We did not realise until we were about to sleep but the duvet was missing a duvet cover. The hot water for tea and coffee was not hot.
