Entering on the ground floor, the smart Shaker-style kitchen/dining room has a large pine table and chairs. The living room has big sofas and an open fire. From the hall, stairs lead to two bedrooms – a double with TV, and a twin, both with views over the courtyard garden and the surrounding hills. The elegant family bathroom has a roll top bath and checkerboard floor. On the lower ground floor is a shower-room and useful utility room. From Jordan House, the historic harbour, Museum of Witchcraft and many interesting local potteries and art galleries are in walking distance. Much of the surrounding landscape and coastline is National Trust owned, scenery so impressive it is said to have been an inspiration to novelist Thomas Hardy.
