The Space:
Entering Home Farm Cottage, and walking straight through from the entrance, you’ll find yourself in the living room. This is a spacious room, packed with comfortable furniture, that is fitted with white tiled floor running throughout, as well as a stylish rug surrounding the sofa and furniture. The room is furnished with a burgundy coloured corner sofa, in front of the fireplace, and two other armchairs. In this room you can have a perfectly relaxing time with space for the whole house to gather and chill out together, whilst taking full advantage of the wall mounted flatscreen TV.
Following the property further through you will arrive at the kitchen. With black tiled flooring this is also a combined dining space, with a wooden dining table running up the middle of the room, and chairs and a bench providing ample seating for all guests. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, dishes, dinnerware, cutlery, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, oven and gas hob.
On the ground floor is where you will find the first bedroom. Containing a double bed, made up with the fine bed linens. Bedside tables and reading lamps sit alongside the bed. The room is painted a deep, royal blue meant to sooth you into the perfect night’s sleep. There is also a bathroom on the ground floor with both a shower and bath.
Moving upstairs there are another two bedrooms and bathrooms. The first bedroom features deep blue walls and a double bed. The nearby bathroom features a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin. Sharing this floor is the master bedroom. Purple in colour with a double bed, this room contains a chest of drawers in addition to the bedside tables. It also features an armchair and laptop friendly workspace, but the main advantage of this room is its ensuite, containing a WC and wash basin and bath with overhead shower. Finally at the peak of the property is the last double bedroom. All bedrooms in Home Farm Cottage have their own TV.

Home Farm Cottage is located a 10-minute drive or 30-minute walk away from Whitby and you’ll find restaurants, shops and pubs in the town centre.
You’ll be able to revel in the nostalgic seaside charm - head to the arcades or explore the beautiful, blue flag West Cliff Beach which is lined with idyllic beach huts.
Venture over the swing bridge and you’ll reach the East bank. This side of Whitby is full of narrow, mediaeval streets dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.
Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Whitby train station gives you easy access to villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station.
There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.
