Travel Purpose: business

Positive: We loved the location being right on the beach and in the centre of Saundersfoot which is why we booked this cottage. Location was perfect. It was also fabulous to have a log burner over Xmas period.

Negative: We did not expect to arrive and the cottage being freezing cold. It took more than 24 hours to heat and feel warm and cosy. We know that nobody had been in the cottage since 24 November (one whole month) as there was a pint of milk dated so in the fridge. The cottage could also have done with a deep clean before arrival. Very dusty under the sofas and generally all round. Once we had cleaned the cottage we felt more comfortable. However, our biggest issue was that all the duvets and pillows need to be replaced as they smell as if they have been there for far too long. It does not help that the cottage is not kept warm when not in use. Despite all that has been written we did enjoy our stay after the first 24 hours.

Summary: Lovely cottage, great location, but very much in need of some updating and overpriced.
