Positive: Lovely location, very remote and I can imagine how beautiful it must be in nice weather. Stunning old cottage, lots of character and nice touches. The open fire was lovely and probably the best thing about the property especially in the cold weather, also the fact that fire wood is provided is a big bonus. The property is equipped with everything you need, the house is warm and the shower is excellent. All the essentials such as bed sheets, towels, etc were clean. Only sugestii would be to use less fabric conditioner, as the smell was extremely strong. Access is quite tricky, but this is being mentioned from the beginning so you know what you are in for before booking. We thought it was easier than expected, but then my partner is an experienced driver. Communication with the host was good.

Negative: Double bed is really small, we ended up sleeping in separate bedrooms as too small for 2 adults in our view. Pillows are poor quality, extremely soft and keep no shape whatsoever. However, I appreciate that the above is a matter of taste so other people might be okay with it. Better, clear instructions regarding the garbage situation would help. The only thing that I would say it's really necessary is a deep clean of the cottage, with attention to details such as cobwebs. I will not go into all the details, as it was clean on the surface, but let's say that a deep clean would prevent quests' clothes from getting covered in dog hair when they sit on the sofa and it would also improve the smell in the cottage. However, that would not stop us from going back so if you don't expect luxury, you should be fine.
