Reconnect with nature at this cozy cottage vibe narrowboat (static). The boat is 57 ft. 2 double bedrooms (1 that changes from a dinette to a bed) & a sofa bed in the living room.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, gas hob & oven. There is also a bathroom with a cassette toilet & shower, though we recommend using the marina facilities that are open 24/7 for bathroom activities.
Short walk to Roydon Train Station. Trains into London (35mins) or stanstead airport (45mins)
The space
You can sit out front in the entranceway and enjoy the sun in summer.
You enter via the Saloon/Living Room which has a sofa bed, fireplace and fold-out dining table.
Next is the Galley/Kitchen that has a fridge, with a small freezer, gas hob & over. Plenty of pantry space and all the pots, pans and utensils you could want!
Move through the hatchway hallway, which you can open to bring in more light and airflow in summer through to the dinette, this acts as both a seating area to dine or work from and transforms into a double bed. The space has a wardrobe and a few drawers for clothing items.
Next is the bathroom, with a shower, sink & cassette toilet. The shower gets hot water both via the central heating system which automatically comes on at set times morning and evening as well as via an electric switch for when you want it at other times. For the toilet, we ask all guests to empty it if they use it. If you would prefer not to do this, the marina has bathroom facilities that you can asses 24/7 a short walk from the boat.
Follwing on from the bathroom is the main bedroom, this has a double bed, wardrobe space and a large set of drawers for all your belongings. There is a hatchway in this room so you can get more light and airflow directly in the bedroom.
Beyond the bedroom is the engine bay. There isn't much reason to go into this space, other than if you are switching on the additional hot water feature.
