Built in 1875, Hamilton Lodge is a Victorian house featuring its own elegant turret. Each room has been designed to have a different theme from a classic antique feel to modern contemporary. The Lodge is built over three floors with loads of space for up to 15 guests, not counting babies and dogs!. Many original features have been maintained, including the lead glass in the entrance hall which has been used as a colour scheme for the interior design. Breathtakingly high ceilings with beautiful chandeliers crown the reception rooms. The large sitting room is spacious and has comfortable seating to allow all guests to come together for movie nights, whilst the elegant library allows for some quiet space. The large open plan living space at the back of the house is ideal for socialising, cooking, dining and just chilling and chatting. The sliding doors open out onto the garden to create a large space for entertaining. On the upper floors, Hamilton Lodge has six bedrooms including a large family room sleeping 5 guests, so ideal for children. The three bathrooms all have under floor heating and allow ample space and convenience for all guests. There are side sea views from some of the bedrooms, as the sea is just a few yards away. The owners have made every effort to ensure guests have a wonderful stay, and this includes a welcome hamper of wine, crackers, cheese and chutney, and the house has a lovely branded Hamilton Lodge toiletries range waiting for you. Westgate on Sea is a friendly seaside town which boasts a wide sandy beach, local shops and cafes and a lovely old-fashioned independent cinema. There is a well known path called the Viking Trail which passes through Westgate on Sea and offers a lovely coastal foot and cycle path from Reculver to Ramsgate. Margate is about a 20-minute coastal walk, or is a short five-minute drive, or train ride A security deposit of £500 is required at this property.
