The stately homes of Burton Agnes, Burton Constable, Sewerby Hall and Castle Howard are also worth a visit, with many of them offering a program of events throughout the year from Proms Spectaculars to Christmas extravaganzas. This area can not be visited without exploring the stunning scenery and rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds, which inspired the famous Hockney paintings.
