This delightful architecturally designed holiday cottage is the ideal choice for a peaceful escape at any time of year. Situated off the beaten track on West Lake Farm which was awarded Devon Wildlife status, an award that reflects the sensitive management of the land. This semi-detached, spacious cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home, enjoys panoramic views over the tranquil Devon countryside. The owner provides a generous welcome pack, including a cream tea with heart shaped scones, eggs, tea, coffee, local produce such as butter, jam and bread, and a bottle of prosecco, and so they don’t feel left out, the dogs even get a welcome pack too!

The cottage has a spacious, open-plan design with fully-fitted kitchen, dining and living room area, a wet room and underfloor heating throughout. There are 13 acres of farmland to explore with two large ponds with sitting areas, with wild flowers and wildlife in abundance. The cottage lies between the moors and coast, ideally situated for a variety of adventures. For walkers, cyclists and those looking to do some horse riding, there are miles of traffic free lanes, as well as the challenging tors of Dartmoor and wonderful south west coastal path. Nearby Roadford Lake offers sailing and water sports with tuition, and the north coast has good beaches and surfing. There is trout and salmon fly fishing on local River Taw and River Torridge. Opportunities for coarse fishing are abundant in this area, and the RHS Rosemoor is a haven for gardeners and an idyllic lunch spot. Golfers can enjoy three well groomed courses, and birdwatchers have easy access to Lundy Island from the ferry port of Bideford. Beach 17 miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles.
